Today, I want to talk to you about an amazing organization that I recently discovered: Share the Health Cambodia.
Share the Health Cambodia is a US based 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit NGO (Non-governmental Organization) that aims to improve life and health across the world. They have been working in Cambodia since 2009, providing free medical care to over 10,000 impoverished patients at their clinic in Chong Dong Village, in rural Kampong Thom Province.
But they don't stop there. They also collaborate with the Cambodian government and other international agencies to arrange patient care and medical education. They have created and published a Prehospital Emergency Medical training curriculum that can be implemented in rural areas of Cambodia, where access to medical care is limited. They also supply medications, supplements, and emergency medical kits to these areas, as well as food and supplies to orphanages and families in need.
I think this is such a wonderful and inspiring initiative that deserves our support and recognition. Share the Health Cambodia is making a difference in the lives of thousands of people who otherwise would not have access to quality healthcare. They are also empowering Cambodians to take charge of their own health and well-being.
